World Cerebral Palsy (CP) Day is a movement of people with cerebral palsy and their families, and the organisations that support them, in more than 60 countries. Our vision is to ensure that children and adults with cerebral palsy have the same rights, access and opportunities as anyone else in their communities. The World CP Day Committee works actively to pursue this vision and support countries around the world to take action to improve the lives of people with CP and their families.

About the Committee

The WCPD Committee, is a global group of individuals who will:

  • drive the current strategic plan and shape future plans and execution of the campaign
  • build networks of influence to promote the campaign and at least one key issue
  • support the development of tools and resources for information, education and local action
  • be a spokesperson for the campaign in their country/region, and globally on their key issue
  • identify and recruit volunteers to support the campaign, coordinate in-country efforts, and support/mentor others
  • support the measurement and evaluation of the outcomes and impact of the campaign.


The committee comprises people from a diverse range of countries who are representative of WCPD’s key stakeholders and audiences:

  • People with CP – adult or young adults
  • Families and caregivers
  • Disability services
  • Advocacy specialists
  • Researchers or research bodies
  • Medical/therapy professionals
  • Media/marketing professionals
