United by Strength, Defined by Determination

I was born with cerebral palsy, but it’s never been what defines me. My parents were told to expect limits. Instead, I decided to rewrite the story.

As a child, I hit milestones earlier than expected, attended mainstream schooling, and later earned a BA (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Wales. Growing up in the 1980s and 1990s wasn’t easy. Accessibility, awareness, and inclusion were almost unheard of back then, but my family and I faced every challenge head on.

After university, I built a 20-year career with HMRC before redundancy in 2020 turned my world upside down. What could have been a setback became my greatest opportunity. That’s when Vicki Admin Fairy® was born, my way of turning challenge into confidence.

I started with one small client, creating social media posts for £40 a month. Four years later, I now support more than fifteen clients across the UK, helping small businesses find clarity and confidence in their operations. I’ve gone from redundancy to running a multi award-winning business, becoming a Digital Boost mentor, and a proud advocate for disabled and neurodivergent entrepreneurs.

Being named a #SmallBiz100 2025, a Theo Paphitis #SBS Winner, an Inspirational Journey Award Winner at the Woman Who Achieves Awards 2025, and one of the 60 Digital Women to Watch in 2025 proves that success looks different for everyone, and that difference is what makes us powerful.

This year’s World CP Day theme, #UniqueandUnited, holds great significance for me. Every person with cerebral palsy has their own story, but together we create a movement. We are proof that disability brings creativity, resilience, and strength that can unite and inspire.

My advocacy work extends beyond my business. I was proud to contribute to The Lilac Review, a government-backed initiative focused on enhancing opportunities for entrepreneurs with disabilities. I took part in one of the roundtable discussions and was later invited to the House of Lords for the launch of The Lilac Review report. Being part of that moment, surrounded by other disabled business owners and changemakers, reminded me just how powerful our collective voice can be.

I use my platform to show that disability isn’t something to hide or overcome. It’s something that shapes who we are and gives us empathy, innovation, and drive. Through mentoring, advocacy, and my work, I hope to empower others to see their potential and believe that they can build their own version of success too.

“Cerebral palsy may shape my journey, but it doesn’t define my destination. United, we can turn challenges into change.”
