This World Cerebral Palsy Day on 6 Oct, people with cerebral palsy are naming the change they want to see.
Our change is clear: formal United Nations recognition of 6 October as World Cerebral Palsy Day.
Recognition is more than a date on the calendar.
Formal UN recognition could help keep cerebral palsy on the global agenda every year, building greater support for research, services, inclusion and opportunity.

Katy is sharing the change she wants to see for people with cerebral palsy — more care and curiosity in our everyday lives.
For Katy, that means checking in on friends, asking more thoughtful questions and taking the time to better understand the experiences of people with cerebral palsy.
It also means healthcare workers approaching every interaction with curiosity, and local leaders and policymakers listening to and learning from the people in their communities.
Because there are 50 million people with cerebral palsy around the world, and 50 million different experiences, priorities and ideas about what needs to change.
