About cerebral palsy

Cerebral palsy is the most common lifelong physical disability, affecting a person's ability to walk, move, or communicate. It is caused by an injury to the developing brain, but every individual’s experience with cerebral palsy is unique. Some people require lifelong support, while others live independently. Every story is different, but our community stands together—unique and united. Want to learn more?
Did you know 10 December is the United Nations' official Human Rights Day? 🌎

This year's theme is 'Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now' - something that resonates with the global disability community's campaign for equity and justice.

Today and every day, we seek to promote and protect the human rights of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities 💚

Out of My Mind - exclusive clip! 💚

Today, Disney+ has released Out of My Mind, a new film about the lived experience of Melody, a young girl with cerebral palsy.

The film's launch is a milestone for our community in its portrayal of a non-verbal wheelchair user, and we are excited to collaborate with Disney to share this film with the world.

It's a story about non-verbal communication, disability in education, acceptance and stereotypes - but most of all it's a film about one girl's will to overcome discrimination and share her voice with the world.

Out of My Mind is available to stream globally on Disney+ now 🎞
