Hello, my name is Mohammed. I am only one and a half years old, and I am a child with cerebral palsy from Gaza. 💔
Our home was bombed and destroyed, and since then our lives have never been the same. My mother and father love me deeply and do everything they can for me, but they are facing circumstances far beyond what they can handle.
I have difficulties with movement and swallowing, severe weakness, scoliosis, and a deformity in my foot. I need regular physiotherapy and occupational therapy. My family is trying to keep my treatment going, but the cost of therapy and transportation has become more than they can afford.
Doctors have told my family that I urgently need specialized treatment and medical evacuation because the care I need is not available in Gaza. But the crossings are closed, and the healthcare system here has been devastated. Hospitals lack many of the medicines, equipment, and essential services that I need.
I am still just a little child. I do not understand why I have to live through so much pain. I only want to sit, move, play, and grow like other children. I want a real chance at life. I deserve that chance. 💔
Sometimes I become tired from treatment, but my parents never give up on me because they believe I deserve another chance to improve. Please do not let the war take away my hope too.
Please be my voice. Help me continue my therapy and help my story reach those who can help me. I am Mohammed, a little child from Gaza, and I need someone to stand beside me. 🤍
