I was born prematurely and was later diagnosed with cerebral palsy. From a young age, I became familiar with rehabilitation centers, and I’ve grown used to working hard and training regularly to maintain my physical health.
Sports have been a part of my life since elementary school, but everything changed when I discovered boccia. I fell in love with the sport and eventually became a proud member of the Boccia Club – BKCPO Zagreb. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to compete in many tournaments, both in Croatia and abroad, and I’ve been fortunate to achieve great results.
Boccia is more than just a sport to me. I enjoy every moment I spend training, competing, traveling, and hanging out with my teammates, friends, and coach. I feel truly blessed that boccia has taken me to so many incredible places and allowed me to meet amazing people.
Living with cerebral palsy does present daily challenges, but through boccia, I’ve found a way to express myself, grow, and feel fulfilled. Sports help me stay positive and give me a sense of purpose and happiness. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the constant support of my parents. They drive me to training, accompany me to competitions, and always stand by my side.
Regular training is essential for success in boccia, and I would highly recommend that anyone with cerebral palsy try getting involved in sports — especially boccia. With hard work, dedication, and a little bit of luck, I was honored to be named the Croatian Champion in the BC2 category this year.
I play boccia because I want to show the world that people with disabilities can be successful and achieve extraordinary things. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has supported me on this journey. I promise to continue working hard, striving for excellence, and being a role model for young athletes just beginning their path.
